This page is used for testing whether your browser has the capability to run a e-Chat over the Internet. Test is to find whether Java 2 Runtime Environment is properly installed. If your browser can run the e-Chat, a blue message saying "Welcome to e-Chat!" will be displayed in the box. Otherwise, the box will be empty. When you have this problem, please check if your system meets the below requirements and follow the instruction under the Trouble Shooting section to configure the browser.

Trouble Shooting

Problem: I don't have a 'Welcome to e-Chat' in the Java2 Runtime Environment test or only a gray rectangle is shown.
Solution:

Case 1: Java 2 Runtime Environment is not installed
You can check whether your machine has Java 2 Runtime Environment installed by following this page. If not, please follow the Java 2 Runtime Environment installation guide to complete the installation.

Case 2: Java plugin is not enabled
You can enable the Java plugin for your browser following this page.

Case 3: Java 2 Runtime Environment is not properly installed
In this case, please follow the Java 2 Runtime Environment installation guide to reinstall the Java 2 Runtime Environment.
